Poster Session Information:

Poster Sessions are presentations displayed on poster boards by an individual outlining their research. The poster display usually includes a brief paper mixed with illustrations. The poster display can intelligently and concisely communicate the essence of the presenter's research, synthesizing its main ideas and directions.

Poster Sessions offer excellent opportunities for extended informal discussion and conversation focused on topics of scholarly or pedagogical research. Posters are displayed for the duration of the conference, so that interested persons can view the work even when the authors are not physically present.

Posters will be displayed in a high-traffic area, in close proximity to the conference rooms and the poster session will be well advertised for the duration of the conference.

Poster Session Specifications:

All finished posters should be submitted in A1 size (594mm × 841mm or 23.4in × 33.1in). Finished posters should include at least two images and a body of text that indicates the specific focus of the authors research.

Each poster should clearly display the title, authors, and affiliations, preferably at the top of the poster in at least a 48point text. The main body of the text should be readable when standing 1-2 m from the poster, which typically means at least 16-20 point text, double-spaced.

Your font style should be legible also. Avoid using italicized or fancy scripts. Highlighting with colors or underlining important information is acceptable, but make sure your font style is consistent over the entire poster.

Digital versions may be submitted directly to ciha-posters@unimelb.edu.au for inclusion in the online poster gallery.
